Program Goals

Each of our classes provides age-appropriate reading and math readiness, stories and songs, large and small muscle development, science, social studies, and art. Below are highlights of our programs to prepare your child for Kindergarten.

ACADEMIC PROGRAMS
Readiness Activities – your child will develop listening and visual skills needed for reading
Math Activities – using manipulatives, your child will be exposed to numbers and math concepts.
Early Writing Activities – Each child is encouraged to transfer learned symbols into writing.
Science Activities – children are encouraged to make predictions with “hands-on” scientific concepts.

SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT
Children take part in daily group activities. Through these activities, your child will learn to interact and cooperate with teachers and peers.

MOTOR SKILLS
Large Motor Activities – in addition to daily playground time (weather permitting), a weekly physical education class is taught by our P.E. teacher in our upstairs gymnasium.
Fine Motor Activities – hands-on manipulatives and daily arts & crafts activities offer children the opportunity to gain control and strengthen the muscles they will use as they begin writing.
